Our History.

Beginning with their great grandfather on his farm in Stoney Creek, Ontario, and with their grandpa on his farm in Binbrook, Ontario, farming has been a way of life for generations for the Tigchelaar family. The family has invested their time and energy to make it a thriving business with everyone pitching in to help, from the oldest to the youngest.  Working together was valuable as a family and as a farm.

Our Story.

The Red Barn Farm Market is truly a family business from it's deepest roots. The Tigchelaar's have been farming for four generations and have been blessed by the richness of this land. The market itself is the brainchild of one of those family members, Anna. Growing up on the strawberry farm she always dreamt of a retail space and bakery on the farm. When her and her sisters were not working in the berry fields they were in the kitchen experimenting with recipes, old and new. This love for good food, coupled with a true understanding of farm life is what has been and will continue to be, our inspiration.
